Occasionally, after a long hard day there is nothing better than shedding the layers of stress by pouring a drink. A martini up, a glass of wine, maybe something non-alcoholic; whatever your choice, the act of imbibing can be immeasurably enhanced by the addition of a few choice accessories. Two fingers neat tastes better in a crystal glass; a bold red breathes better in a big goblet; and that martini is more appealing when it’s poured from a silver shaker, even if you prefer it stirred.

This week’s New Arrival features an Art Deco Bar Cabinet. Crafted in France in the 1930s, it has been successfully brought back to life by a salt rub designed to restore the beautiful grain of its walnut veneer. The center section flips open to reveal a work shelf and mirrored compartment, while the rest of the cabinet provides abundant storage for glasses, beverages and accessories. Yet, this is more than a bar – it’s the one accessory that can turn the act of pouring a drink into a memorable event.
