It’s the holidays; time to reconnect with family and friends, sit together, eat, drink, laugh, tell stories, share feelings, and exchange gifts. The concept of sharing and connecting with loved ones is the same here as elsewhere. In Tibet, the New Year is celebrated toward the end of February. There are gatherings, parties, and a festival to usher in the coming year; and there is also one symbol that characterizes everyone’s feelings – the Endless Love Knot.

This week’s New Arrival is a sterling silver locket embedded with a Tibetan Love Knot carved from fossilized mammoth tusk. The knot is a series of intertwined right angles that have no beginning or end when linked together. The symbol has become universally accepted as a sign of harmony. It is even said the love knot has mystical powers when given as a gift, strengthening the bond between giver and receiver all year long!
