Find detailed literature of specific cultural objects and artifacts including bronzes, ceramics, terra cotta, baskets, erotica, jewelry, prints, textiles and much more.

The Five Elements Library at PRIMITIVE is an extensive literary resource on much of the art, antiques and peoples found within the stores 35,000 sq. foot showroom. Discover information on art and objects from all over the world. All of the books in the library are available for purchase.

Time ceases and borders fade inside the custom designed room of the Five Elements Library. From the stone floors of an ancient Chinese village to the hand-carved walls with flowing earth, water, fire, wind and metal motifs, the room is imbued with a unique ambiance. Pick out a book, sit back on select furniture and immerse yourself in lands far away. Alternatively, whisk the book away and add it to your own private collection – many are available for purchase.

The Five Elements Library is located on the first floor of our Jefferson Street Showroom. The Library is open during regular store hours, 10am – 6pm Monday through Saturday.
